Abstract

Increased environmental awareness with different important factors of life like food, clothing and housing concern with the efficient selection of good quality cleansing product for clothing and household articles. As a green alternatives of soap and some harmful detergent natural surfactant for cleansing purpose can be extracted from some plants and animals which contain saponin and sapogenin in their chemical structure. The study showed that the surfactant produced from some plants and animals are less harmful to the environment but a good scientific approach to preserve the quality of our life as well as our valuable fabric and clothing.

Abstract

The dressing pattern and selection of clothing for every age is an important issue of a family needs. One must be very careful in selection of appropriate dress for children's on the basis of their physiological as well as their psychological needs. All the clothes wear by children should be comfortable, delicate to the skin and it should be appropriate size and designs. Present investigation was carried out on designing of dresses for pre-school girls and the child and mothers preference on 10 ten constructed dresses were recorded. The result shows that colour of dress is the primary factor of their clothing preference.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a key driver of our economy and majority of job or wealth are created only by enterprises, which is commonly seen as an innovator of a generation of new idea and business processes. It is the participation in the formation and development of growth of a new enterprise. Both man and women of working age constitute the main strength of economic development of nation, in India woman constitute 60 per cent of rural unemployment they can have engaged themselves on entrepreneurship development through natural dye production, and it utilization on different creative products such as cloth, food products, cosmetic, pottery printing, screen printing etc. The availability of abundant natural resources and growing demands of natural products specially in European country may serve as a platform for entrepreneurship development and training programme through natural dyes.

Abstract

Sustainable use of renewable natural resources is a present day demand. To maintain a ecological balance in the environment, a study was conducted to extract fibre from the waste stem of okra plant and its utilization for making different utility products to fulfil day today needs. The physico-chemical properties such as microscopic structure, IR spectra, length and breadth of fibre, tensile strength, elongation and chemical constituents of bhindi fibre were evaluated. Six different types of products were made and these suitability was tested by a panel of judges and found that the functionality of the developed products were suitable for its intended purpose
